CFL lamps are particularly popular for indoor horticulture with low lighting needs such as herbs and African violets.
They are of low intensity and for this they must be placed close to the plants (10-15 cm). It is an ideal solution for growing plants in small interiors as they produce minimal heat.
The same technology is the fluoride lamps you’ve seen mainly in offices, hospitals, etc. Fluoride lamps were available before the conventional CFL, but there was no built-in ballast on the lamp, making them less attractive to young growers. You will achieve the fluoride lamps also referred to as T8, a common 30W model. Several growers had begun to use this technology to save money on electricity, but also to reduce the problems that arise in relation to high-evacuation lamps, (Hps and Metal Halide) such as high temperature.
