CMH Lamps Indoor Horticulture stands for Ceramic Metal Halide. A CMH lamp has 2.5 times more blue light than an HPS lamp. These lamps have a much more intense and coherent spectrum.
The 13.4% blue light from CMH lamps is slightly higher than a 50/50 blend of HPS and MH lamps. A CMH lamp has a more uniform spectral emission than any other lamp used for plant growth lighting. Ceramic metal halides (CMHs) or light-emitting ceramics (LECs) are two different terms, but both refer to the same technology. So basically we can use these two alternatives. CMH meters can operate at higher pressures and emit stronger light output than HIDs.
