ATHENA Cleanse

Athena Cleanse is made from hypochlorous acid. This mild acid is derived from salt and a proprietary electrochemical treatment process. The result is a unique chemical with strong oxidizing properties that can be used to reduce mineral salts in irrigation systems.

Key features

Non-toxic and non-nutritive – Safe for use on plants at any stage of growth
Works to remove salts in irrigation systems and decompose organic matter residues
Effective as a final rinse to remove the accumulation of inorganic salts (salts) in growing media and irrigation lines
Very low TDS – Does not disturb the balance of minerals
Keeps the irrigation system cleaner and running efficiently for longer

How it is used

System maintenance:
Irrigation systems that are regularly maintained with Athena Cleanse treatment will last longer and function optimally throughout. This is because Cleanse helps break down mineral salts and other build-up that has accumulated in the system.

RDWC and other hydroponic recirculation systems:
Any recirculating or deep water culture (DWC) irrigation system should use Athena Cleanse to remove mineral residues and reduce salts.
Using Cleanse in a recirculating or DWC system helps break down materials with lower solubility levels, such as mineral complexes that are no longer available to plants. Mineral accumulation and blockage are major causes of nutrient deficiencies – solve these problems with Athena Cleanse.

The use of Cleanse in a recirculation system or DWC helps to break down materials with lower solubility grades, such as metal complexes that are no longer available to plants. Mineral build-up and lock-up is a major cause of deficiencies and plant health problems – solve these issues with Athena Cleanse.

Media/system flushing mix:
Use Athena Cleanse at a ratio of 5-10 mL/gallon of water during the final flushing stage to reduce residual mineral accumulation.
The mild acid used in Athena Cleanse does not affect plant growth or growth and therefore, the product can be used to desalinate irrigation systems during all stages of growth.

Regular use: Use a diluted mixture of 2-5 ml per gallon of water for regular maintenance.

Severe conditions: Increase the dose to 5-10 mL per gallon of water to control severe conditions in tanks and growing media.
