Sunflower Microgreen Seeds

Latin name:Helianthus annuus

Sunflower Microgreen Seeds Description:

have a nice nutty taste. Be careful not to grow them for too long, as they will become bitter as they grow. They are easy to grow, but removing the seed coat can be a challenge.

Growth time:10 – 12 days

Ideal growing temperature: 17 °C +

Growth medium: Coconut Pine – Lightly Fertilized Soil

Germination time: 3 – 4 days

Stopping time: 5 – 6 days

Predicted harvest time: 10 – 12 days

How to Grow Sunflower Microgreen Seeds:

Place a tray with holes in a tray without holes. Fill the tray without holes with 2.5 cm of substrate. ? Spread the sunflower seeds evenly on top , leaving a little space between each seed. Press the seeds into the soil. Water the seeds and soil. Place a tray without holes over the seeds and soil. Add about 4 pounds of weight to the tray to keep the seeds pressed into the soil.

After 5 – 6 days the sunflower microalgae will push the disc into the air. Remove the tray with the weights, water them from above and place them under a grow light, on a window sill or in a light in a greenhouse.

On the 7th – 8th day, remove the excess seed husks from the leaves. Previous soaking of the bark and leaves makes the bark softer and easier to remove. When in the light, water each day by pouring water into the bottom of the tray ,until day 10 – 12.

Between the 10th and 12th day, collect all microgreens using a sharp knife or scissors. Store harvested in the refrigerator.
